California Caregiver Staff Training for Senior Caregivers

California caregivers now must be trained by senior care companies after the California state legislature passed Assembly Bill 1217. The California governor signed the bill into law and the California senior caregiver training requirement for senior care companies requires:

  • 2 Hours of Orientation Training
  • 3 Hours of Safety Training
  • 5 Hours of Core Competency Training

10 Hours Total Training for Year 1 followed by:

  • 5 Hours of Annual Core Competency Training

Caregiverlist provides the only training created by senior home care industry professionals to deliver a user-friendly Portal for senior care companies to efficiently train caregivers, test for retention of information and keep up with state reporting and renewal training.

Caregivers working in the home receive tools they can use in the home with the Caregiver Training University courses.
