California caregivers now must be trained by senior care companies after the California state legislature passed Assembly Bill 1217. The California governor signed the bill into law and the California senior caregiver training requirement for senior care companies requires:
- 2 Hours of Orientation Training
- 3 Hours of Safety Training
- 5 Hours of Core Competency Training
10 Hours Total Training for Year 1 followed by:
- 5 Hours of Annual Core Competency Training
